Hi friends,
I found this article about Leeds Radio via a Google Plus share.

NY Times Article

Some of you have probably bought electronic parts from Richard.
This is a last glimpse at the old Radio Row in New York City.

Dave

Thanks Dave. Great pictures in the "slide show" too!!

Richard is the nicest guy to do business with. Always pleasant on the phone and willing to chat a bit, and answer questions. Parts have always been in good condition, well packed, and shipped fast.

After now seeing Richard and the insides of the place -- I'm going to DOUBLE my orders from him. Fantastic.

73, Dan

Dan and Members,

Ditto! on all you've said.

Richard is a great guy, and I try to buy or swing
business his way, as often as I can.

Glad Dave posted this, as I was going to.

Mike

Dave and members,

I've been to Leeds and met Richard in person. Great guy, as everybody has mentioned. I was at there for at least a couple of hours, and we just B.S.ed most of the time. I ended up buying a few tubes from him.

The shop was different from what I expected. More like a warehouse really, with tall shelves full of boxes. I think the pictures show that fairly well. When I was looking for the shop, I almost missed it, and finally found a weathered door with a small "Leeds Radio" plaque on it. He didn't have the garage door opened at the time.

I didn't experience the wild hair, though. It was late December, and he was wearing a hat. That hair might have scared me.

edit: Wow, I didn't see the slide show before, but it really shows the place well. You can see how it would be hard to find from the street, unless you happen to look directly at the sign above the door (which was closed when I showed up).

Regards,
George AE6XF
