My name is Imre Olajos, (Sr )

Years ago I built a crystal radio just to check if it works in my area. This was a 4 "kong ferrite rod antenna and germanium diode and a SONY low resistance stereo earphone pair. One standby power supply transformer was the matching transformer, with 1,000 Ohms of primary DC resistance.

My sets use Schottky Barrier diodes and extended sensitivity and high Q ferrite antenna and gold or silver plated wire for FM. I use my set almost every day.

I make sets even in smaller boxes for sale. I know, it is a scandal but I am not having and not using ANY external antenna. I test my sets by substitute antennas, like the external metal part of desktop lamp. Yes, I do have good location to do this.

One of my night time sets brings in these stations but the second smaller brings in all these stations also but with lower volume.

Sometimes I hear 1 or 2 more stations but this time I heard and identified these stations. Frequency readout was made by a SONY digital walkman radio.
