My entry this year is three previously built projects.
Together they form a double tuned regenerative loop with
an inductive wave trap. The antenna tuner is a Tuggle tuned
165/46 litz spider coil with separate 10-400pf capacitors,each
with 6:1 reduction drives. The trap is actually the detector coil
of my crystal set and acts as an additional tuning stage for the
loop. The loop is 18" and uses a 3Q5 pentode with screen voltage
adjustment for regen. The tickler is 2 turns spaced 3/4" behind
the loop. I spaced the antenna tuner 22" from the loop
and the trap 7" closer. That seems to work best.
