Wow. The difference between being in Seattle with its huge radio stations and being out on the "farm" (daughter lives at the end of the dirt road that starts at the end of the paved road). I brought my radio out to her house and was amazed at the number of stations I could receive. The antenna was a 150 foot wire up about 30 feet, and a short ground rod.











The radio started out a couple of years ago to be a Jones 1936 single tube (1G6) battery set, but i added a 1A5 audio amplifier. It is a nice radio, with a throttle cap for regen, stable, so far only have used up one D cell for filament current and still the same 9 volt cells.

I was hoping to have a 76 rf amp, 42 regen det, 75 audio amp set up going for the 49 meter band, but so the plans of mice and men...........
