Description

REGEN SET
Uses a typical regen circuit with capacitance regen control to provide smoother adjustment of regeneration. Main deviation from the typical regen is the double-tuned front end. This provides more stability and selectivity.

Adjuncts to the regen set are an audio Ultramatch (Steve Bringhurst design) and a pair of sound-powered headphones.

ANTENNA
The antenna is a Tee (45' cage vertical with a two-wire flat top capacitance hat) worked against about twenty radials of different lengths and several 4' and 8' ground rods. I use a single-wire feed into the shack.

ANTENNA TUNER
I originally built the tuner for use only with my crystal radios, but found that it works very well with the regen set. It provides additional selectivity, but the best part is the fixed and tuned traps I built into the tuner. The combination lets me get very close to the local stations and trap out some of the loud night time stations.
